Beautiful. I love the way you’ve captured the beauty of the burnt landscape. I think many people don’t notice it.
I’m potentially interested in purchasing this piece or some of the burnt trees (above). How much are this one, and the half dozen above? Is it possible to view them somewhere? I live in Blackheath and have been admiring your work in Day Gallery,.
Hello Liz,
Thanks for your enquiry. I still have some of the burnt tree and post bushfire landscapes available. Yes I think you are right. It’s a beautiful transformation and the very visible beginning of new life. A lot of people thought it was about tragedy and disaster, but I’ve seen those precious new epicormic shoots that are absolutely brimming with life. The Hurley track is still in my studio and available if you would like to see it. I currently show my work through three galleries. Each gallery is responsible for the sales of the works they have exhibited but most of the bushfire series was never exhibited formally in Project gallery 90 who was my only dealer in 2020 when I made them. So you would have to see them in my studio in Woodford. The Hurley trail would be $1200 and I have about seven more works from that series, some bigger, some smaller. Project gallery also have a series of acrylic paintings on heavy paper but they are unframed. I’ll attach a list but a few were sold.
Thanks, you can call me if you want to arrange a studio visit 47586282 or the location of particular works,
Sincerely,
Rhett brewer
