Gaudi’s Harmonica

It was under the shelter of this ledge, before World War 2 that my uncles constructed their hut from found timber spilled from the decks of ships, local stone, cement and a lock-up door. It had beds , pots, pans, a table and chairs with shortened legs to accommodate the sloping stone floor. Here they would spend weekends fishing and catching rabbits in traps.
These ancient protruding sandstone forms remind me of the gargoyles of Notre Dame , only in reptile form.
I looked up from my work and there they were standing on the cliff, braving the breeze.
